The Schools and Universities Polo Association (SUPA), founded in 1991,  was established to promote and develop Schools and Universities Polo.

I was commissioned to redesign their existing website (a series of static HTML pages) whilst also providing a content management system to allow SUPA to maintain and manage their own content in the future.  I built the CMS using MODx.

Custom back-end compontents for member management

In addition to many standard functional requirements for the CMS, such as galleries, SUPA required that a bespoke database of organisation members be built.  This database had to be incorporated into the main website in that it had to be searchable.  For the administration of the database, I developed a standalone, single screen web application that would allow members to be added, edited and deleted as required. 

For this application I made extensive use of the Yahoo User Interface (YUI).  This allowed me to combine all the functionality required into a one-page application, with in-cell editing and remote calls to perform database changes.
